I was born in Detroit and raised in Westland, Michigan, a small suburb of Detroit. After attending college and medical school at the University of Michigan, I completed pediatrics training at Northwestern's Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. I also received training in pediatric oncology at the University of Cincinnati. I began working as a general pediatrician in 1993. For the past 13 years, I have worked for MercyHealth in Rockford, where I served as chair of the Pediatrics Department and the Credentials Committee. I have also worked for Physicians for a National Health Program, which is an organization that advocates for a national single-payer insurance program. I still work part-time as a pediatrician for MercyHealth. I live in Williams Bay with my wife Linda and am the proud father of Katie and Sean.
I am running for Assembly to ensure that the State of Wisconsin keeps the promise of America. That promise is to make sure that if something unforeseen happens, we have a way to give you support and a hand up, to make sure you are not bankrupted by an illness, to help your kids get a good education in a safe environment, to restore good governance through a productive assembly, and to leave our children a thriving planet. I have always been an advocate for families will continue that advocacy in Madison.
